Local wildlife & environment

In terms of wildlife, we regularly have flybys from buzzards, red kites, kestrels and sparrowhawks and at night, one can listen to the Tawny owls calling. If you're really lucky you will get to hear the eerie call of the Long Eared Owl. We have plenty of slow worms and have often spotted a grass snake in the summer knowing where to look! The meadow is full of butterflies and grasshoppers, amongst other creatures, there are foxes and from time to time they are graced with the sight of a stoat bounding about the field.  There is practically no light pollution and no road traffic noise.
