The Wagon Above The World
Peace, privacy and panoramic views
At 1000 ft , a luxurious immersion in nature . . .
The Wagon Above The World is in its own private space.. The wagon sits on the south side of Saddlebow Ridge in the parish of Orcop in Herefordshire with a panoramic view to the horizon: from May Hill in the east, across the Forest of Dean to the south, and over to the Hatterall Hill ridge of the Black Mountains to the west. We have flybys from buzzards, red kites, kestrels, goshawks and sparrowhawks and at night, one can listen to the Tawny owls calling. If you're really lucky you will get to hear the eerie call of the Long Eared Owl or spot a fox, deer or even a stoat. We have plenty of slow worms and have often spotted a grass snake in the summer knowing where to look! In summer the meadow is full of butterflies and grasshoppers.. If you are lucky you may catch sight of a fox or a deer. There is no road traffic noise.
"These guys have got it absolutely bang on. From the moment we got to the wagon we fell in love with the place. The wagon had everything we needed and totally reset the stress levels back to zero. The view from the wagon is outstanding. I cannot rate this place high enough. Wherever we stay next the bar is set dramatically high to match up to the Wagon above the World."

If we had to try and sum it up in just a few words it might be - peace, privacy and panoramic views. All taken in from a wood fired hot tub, sunken into the decking, nestled under brilliant stars, amid rolling hills and lush valleys. We are high up here - almost 1000 feet and really do feel on top of the world. The microcosm of our land sits within the hidden gem of Herefordshire's quintessentially beautiful English countryside.
We want to offer you a luxurious immersion in nature; a place to retreat from day to day life in a space that is unique, comfortable and stylish.
We have the River Wye nearby and as we are at the borderland of England and Wales, we are lucky enough to also enjoy beautiful mountains, wild lakes and fabulous dark skies.
"Our stay here at the wagon was incredible. The views, the air, the smell of the fire burning... you can't ask for more. Surrounded by beautiful bird sounds with views of both the sunrise and sunset. Not to even mention the romance and intimacy of the outdoor hot tub. Absolutely gorgeous."
